Here’s some context to as to how badly Kompany is performing this season.

No team that has got over 100 points in the championship has ever been relegated first season in the prem.

And here are the below points tally’s for each of them teams that first season:

Reading 55 points
Newcastle 46 points
Leicester 41 points
Sunderland 58 points
Fulham 44 points

Burnley will be lucky to break 25 points this season

People can defend him however much they want, but the reality is he is miles away from being good enough for this league.
Adding together the final points totals from Burnley, Luton and Sheffield United and you would struggle to match some of the points totals listed above.
Unfortunately the stats are bad for Burnley whenever they seem to be quoted. Listening to the radio commentary the other evening and a stat was given out that Burnley have been awarded something in the ball park of 115 corners this season in the PL and failed to score from any of them. Winning a corner is supposed to offer a good opportunity to get the ball in the box and score. Presumably we have the worst conversion rate in the PL.

Worth mentioning that the first game against Luton last season was just the second game of the season way before we had gelled.

For me it's in the rear view mirror because of the mind-boggling repeatable decisions, being this far off it and the fact that his big signings this year have flattered to deceive at best.

Next year as I've mentioned before we will have even less of the old guard here and I have 0 confidence in VK building/keeping a squad happy and building a squad that want to be here to play for BFC.
I am worried about the old guard leaving. We do need character and to stay true and loyal to the values Dyche instilled - sweat on the shirt, minimum requirement is maximum effort, etc. I do think he knows that though, he talks about it enough.

The rest I think is unduly negative. I see no signs yet of an unhappy squad. I actually think it’s a BFC fans quite strange perception that all football players will be up in arms if not playing in the first team and therefore unhappy and demanding moves. Probably because historically we have carried very small squads and now we have a larger one where a lot of players could make a genuine case for more first team involvement. I see that as a sign of good strength in depth and something the club/Kompany should be applauded for. As many have said, our B team would make a good fist at the Championship.

Basically every professional football team carry a squad, some play, some don’t. Klopp talks about it - the ones that he doesn’t pick are never happy, but they get on with it and train hard. Kompany comments constantly about the attitude of the players being superb.

Those desperate for games will go on loan or move on. I expect some will but also a more stable squad now we have rebuilt from what was a threadbare situation when he took over. Some more consistency and lower turnover is important now though.

He's said a lot this season that's ended up being b0llocks in all honesty mate so I'm not gonna hang on to his every word.

I know how dynamics work and I know how i'd feel if I put it in for a season, played my heart out and got replaced for players that I don't think are leaving it all out on the pitch.

I've seen a handful of performances that I think were fully committed this season and that just isn't good enough.
