Yes, they are!
They're moving the ball about really well.
Not been a bad game to watch.

HT Iran 0 v Portugal 1.
A superbly taken goal a minute before the break, until then I thought the Iranians were looking good especially their ability to get numbers forward on the break.

If that's what looking good is then I'd hate to see them play poorly.South West Claret. wrote:HT Iran 0 v Portugal 1.

Only saw the incident where the Spanish defender should have been sent off after Morocco took the lead.

That was a stonewall penalty on Ronaldo.

Someone tell Iran they're losing and need to win, still haven't got out of their own half yet and we're 70 minutes into the game.

What a f*cking godawful racket. Imagine travelling to the outback of Russia to watch a football match and have to listen to 90 plus minutes of that din.

I’m not endorsing cheating - Ronaldo was taken out and the defender knew exactly what he was doing.yTib wrote:you are endorsing cheating all over the pitch.

Some of the instances of VAR this tournament have been pathetic. I do think they got this one correct, though.

You're right. But they are too. Sadly.
As soon as I saw it I said penalty, because I'm conditioned to.
Mi dad says it's all a load of rubbish, football was different back in the day, it was all better, they were only on 30 quid a week etc and I was always protesting against him, that he's just old and just doesn't understand the modern game; but having watched Burnley win the 4th division as a kid I thought all football was and would be like that. But it's not. It's worse.

Re: World cup thread
The blatant cheating and face clutching has been a farce at this world cup. I can see england falling foul of this by a cheating ******* later on in the tournament.

it's one or the other.
cheating is creeping up on football and why? because the customer validates it.
i'm getting fed up of it.
Re: World cup thread
Yellow card for that???? it's either a red or nothing, never a yellow card in a million years the Iran player should be yellow carded for diving.
