Tell you what, rovers fans moaning about the offside decision that’s clearly a foul on Esteve. I’ve watched the game back and worrall 100% should of had a pen in the second half, carter is all over his shirt, it’s not just a little shirt pull, he practically pulls the shirt off

Don’t know where else to post this but some of the Blackburn fans before the game yesterday were an absolute disgrace. I was walking just past the chippy next to the wellington and came face to face with a group of them giving the verbals which you would expect, but the police was making very little effort to keep the fans separated and one of their fans went past a young lad stood behind a programme stand and proceeded to throw it over onto the pavement.

The Burnley fans was mostly families with young kids, and could have been a different story and it could have turned ugly.

They were stood outside Turkish best after the game with police in front of them but all the police facing the Burnley fans, they were shouting all sorts and again it was mainly families yet as soon as a Burnley fan shouted anything back the police were having a go at them

Yesterday was an interesting one.

For years I'd always felt it was us that gave off the anger and hatred, perhaps because they were better than us and had more recent success.
Yesterday however, they were the ones behaving like animals whilst most Burnley fans, including my daughter and myself just looked back at them and felt embarrassed for them.
"Go home and shag your mum" "East Lancs top boys, you're having a laugh" coming from a frothing bold 50 year old bloke.

How times change, like you say though, the police didn't seem interested in them which was unusual.

That sounds fair enough. If you go to Whipsnade, it's bad form to goad the animals

I was happy with that performance. We dominated that game but just couldn't unlock their low block resolute defending. Fair play to them as they defended very well plus Eustace is a decent manager but his main priority was to avoid losing. We had Worrall and Hannibal who had only played at Wolves along with Lauren and Anthony making their debuts. 4 players who have only been here a week or less. Wait until these players start working together on the training ground and knowing each others game.

As mentioned on another thread I think it will take a little while for the team to reach our potential. If we can hang around the play offs until October I will be content. I know that this will be difficult for some posters on here as they always seem to be ultra critical of everything to do with BFC, but please give these lads a little bit of time.

If we had played this lot a month or two further into the season I am fairly certain that we would have won comfortably. We played them at the worst possible time for us and they still couldn't beat us.

Their goal reminded me of Micah Hyde's worldie against them (which I also think was the first time we had scored against them for ages). Similar to that game as well in that they didn't carry much offensive threat

Think a lot of the hatred probably came from them being better than us for years and rubbing our noses in it. In recent years they've had to experience it.

They're hurting really bad and it's showing. One of the ways that people react to being hurt is to angrily lash out. Its hilarious. How times have changed.

Is that 10 undefeated including 6 consecutive wins and 14 and a half years unbeaten? Long may it continue.

Exactly how i felt, actually smiled back knowing how much it was hurting them.
On a plus note, my daughter no longer ones to go to Ewood, so at least that's a weight off my mind

McFadzean “warming up” getting in the way of our throw in, claiming foul throw and then seemingly marshalling the rovers defence for the last 15 mins from a few yards away. Is that why they chose ends at kick off? What’s the point in a technical area if subs are sent to “warm up” level with penalty box whistle players attention and give instructions?
Probably legit but makes a mockery of technical area imo.

Why are Blackburn fans obsessed with sexual offences anyway? Freud would have a field day.

A Blackburn supporting ex-colleague on Facebook reckons the ‘tide is turning’ based on that result. If that fixture had been in November it would have been another embarrassment for them.

Don't know why they think the tide is turning. They spent most of the time desperately defending. Had we had a little luck yesterday or a little more time with the new lads in the team we would have been out of site. They will be out of site of us by season ends.

How many saves did Pears make??

Of course we are in a better position than them. Why would that disappoint me? You aren’t putting 2 and 2 together and getting it wrong again are you by making wild assumptions?
You’re going on about “saves made” like that’s the pinnacle of performance (it was 2 from 3 on target btw, the same as Trafford had to make)

We had more possession, more chances & more passes than them.

When a team gets a player sent off it always more difficult, especially when it’s a forward player they lose as their defensive part doesn’t really change

If the ref was stronger they would of been down to 9 and they should of picked up 4 or 5 more yellows and those players then have a quieter game, the way they celebrated a ******* draw was hilarious it was like they'd won the world cup and that just shows how far they've fallen behind us

Congratulations to the turds 💩 1-1 in their cup final. Just about sums them up, celebrating wildly, after a game when they STILL couldn’t beat us, after all the upheavals during the past fortnight. Mickey Mouse “fans”, following a Mickey Mouse club. Long live the Venkys.

Really enjoyed the game, thought it was blood and thunder and a great atmosphere. Also very happy to get this out of the way and go into the international break.

I thought we were really impressive in the first half, great intensity, looked sharp, very lively attacking play. Their goal knocked us for 6 at a time when we were pushing for a second goal which would have won it.

The red card, whilst reducing our chance of a defeat also probably reduced our chance of a win as Rovers put everyone behind the ball and spoiled the half with their persistent fouling.

Unfortunately our substitutes weakened us and as the game drew to a close we didn’t really look like getting the winner.

Considering we had 4(?) league debutants in the line up I was happy with what I saw and 7 points is a good return from the opening 4 games considering the turbulence around the club. Hope Parker does some good work over the next couple of weeks and we come out of the other end as a stronger unit.

The first half is how I would like us to play moving forward, high intensity pressing, quick one-two's get the ball wide with decent crosses flying in. In fact I thought the first half was our best half of the season. We lost our way in the second, only natural due to the match fitness of some of the players.

I was disappointed during 2nd half and after the match, think we'd have narrowly won had it stayed 11 v 11, and we were very lucky not to lose as it turned out. I'm more positive afterwards, there's lots of potential here and it was looking like crisis time at points last week.

At end of day we retain the Ashes and the Urn's going to be ours for 15 years and possibly more. It was their best opportunity to beat us in years and they blew it.

Bit of a gap emerging though. With Leeds away next I've a slight concern we are going to have some catching up to do here...

We then have five extremely winnable games.
15 points from the next 18 will do me.

I've just looked.om.their forum for a laugh and they are slating Burnley fans saying how wound up we all are about not winning and making loads of excuses up, one even said it's a fact the referee got us out of jail 😂
They really don't get it so they of course were disappointed in not winning but the fact they are so hyper and pumped off a draw shows the difference in mentality.
One is even suggesting we'll be bottom half below them come May

All this crying about the disallowed goal ...

erm, they've conveniently forgot about Dunn's injury time equaliser when he was about half a mile offside and celebrated like they'd won the World cup.

Well I haven't. It's called Karma lads. Suck it right up.

Also these grown men shouting and screaming near the Turkish kebab house after the game, amazing how tough they are when stood behind 40 riot police.

I briefly had a look on their forum last night and I couldn't believe how bitter, resentful and deluded most of their posters were.

Most Burnley fans that I know are a little disappointed that we couldn't find a winner but we have a bit of perspective that this result isn't going to define our season. I expect that we will get better over the season contending for automatic promotion or the play offs at least. I don't think Rovers will improve that much even though their manager is decent. I don't think they will go down but if they suffer any serious injuries to key players they will struggle later in the season.

It's their delusions of grandeur that amuse me the most. It's 30 years since they won the league, yet they go an about it like it was yesterday. They haven't beaten us for nearly 15 years and that is wonderful. They still think that they are this better, bigger club than all their Lancashire rivals, especially us. Most Clarets I know understand despite the banter that Burnley, Blackburn, Bolton and Preston are all of a similar size as a club. We have had the best of it for 10-15 years or so but we all know that could change at any time. I know that I may be biased and that may cloud my judgement but I think that they are the most delusional fans in football.

1. They wasn't even alive the last time they won it
2. We have won it they are just that thick they don't even know

I'd be embarrassed if our manager was pumping his own chest and fist pumping the air over a 1-1 draw against a team below you in the league

Good analysis / thoughts AC.

I'll also go with that. I anticipate it will take 13-15 games for us to get to where we need to be as we are 3 games of prep behind compared with the rest of the Championship.

Agree with Anon Claret above, delusional doesn't even begin to describe an awful lot of them. They really do think they are somehow superior to us, it's just a bit weird. A know a few on a friendly basis and also worked with several over the years and they pretty much all have it ingrained in them.

Also this constant 'you'll never win the prem' shi-te they bang on about. We've been champions of England twice you fkn morons despite being far and away the smallest town club to do it.

Honestly they are bitter, deluded and so angry that we've had the upper hand for over 14 years. They just cannot understand how the footballing world has allowed this to happen. It's hilarious and long may it continue.

They have a couple of decent results and they all get giddy and start gobbing off again. And then start whinging and crying how unfair it all is when it inevitably goes ti-ts up.

Absolutely. They have a couple of home wins at the start of new season, and they think they’re Real Madrid. Talk about if Carlsberg did fixtures - they were against 2 of the 3 teams promoted from League 1 last season!! ( and 1 of them via playoffs ). Honestly, the most deluded “ fans “ in the land.

They partied at Turf Moor after picking up a single point

Bstards were clinging on by their fingernails, I've never seen a set of fans so ecstatic about getting a draw really quite embarrassing to watch. I walked down Harry Potts way and cut through the estate and the window lickers on the coaches were a sight to behold, ugly frothing at the mouth gurning at its finest.

I put a comment on Facebook last night and have been met with a barrage of those type of replies all day today. They really are thick as pig ****. I have just congratulated them all on their 1-1 win.

You see we didn't have that Ashley Barnes moment did we. A moment that will live long in the memory. Foster had the chance when he scored but fluffed it.

Don't let the Shadsworth Barbarians upset you!!! haha

Also this constant 'you'll never win the prem' shi-te they bang on about. We've been champions of England twice you fkn morons despite being far and away the smallest town club to do it.
UTC
I find it really bizarre that they waffle on about that as well, like, you guys do realise the top division just had a change of name? It's the same league in the same footballing pyramid...

I genuinely believe that our win in 1959-1960 is one of the greatest achievements in English football history.

We played a fluid, attacking game that was ahead of its time - some aspects of it literally decades ahead. Our team was also mostly composed of local lads and products of the youth team.

The country had fully recovered from the war at that point, and there were some outstanding players in the league at the time. It definitely has more weights than league wins around the the turn of the 20th century or the inter war/post war periods.

I also think Leicester's win of the Premier League is right up there as well - both were tremendous achievements by smaller clubs overcoming the odds.

Am assuming all the arrests relate to Fiddler Fans :?:
