Unfortunately, it's likely that the "warning about future conduct" could also be intended to protect against him attempting to enter a football ground. For example, if our club (or any other for that matter) turned a blind eye in sympathy and allowed him in, or he quietly slipped in unnoticed, inevitably social media would pick up on it and his presence would soon become known to the FA. Awful.
And when you think back to 1995 to a time when illegal payments (aka bungs) were seen as a scourge in football, that a very high profile manager like George Graham was banned for a paltry 12 months when found guilty by the FA of taking a bung to the value of half a million pounds in today's money. Not just that, he was then able to resume his career in another managerial position soon afterwards. It makes JB's punishment seems all the more draconian and disproportionate.

Re: ARTICLE: Joey gets a staggering 18 month ban
So now I've had chance to read most of the statements one of the questions that has occurred to me is why did betfair suddenly decide to "shop" Joey after knowingly taking his bets for 10yrs?
Yes Joey knew what he was doing was wrong but so did they and as has been pointed out during this saga, he never exactly his the fact on social media
