Yes...ridiculous grandstanding from Leigh's somewhat eccentric chairmen Derek Beaumont. Has no reason to complain at all about the number of tickets as Wigan have given Leigh around double the minimum requirement of 10% of stadium capacity. The RFL should call his bluff and tell him that unless he retracts immediately then Leigh will forfeit the game and also pay any financial penalty imposed by Sky TV for breach of contract. Can only think he thinks he's playing "mind games" with Wigan in the build up to the game but it's just pathetic.

And get relegated. No point letting them play the season if they won't play in the play-offs. It would make a mockery of the whole thing.

Surely he knows he's being an idiot and is just trying to make a point, however stupid that point may be?

Never been to a live Rugby League game but watched it on TV and would go. Been to many Rugby Union games both club and Internationals and always enjoy it. It’s a different vibe to the football but I think you appreciate the game more when you’ve played it.

1965 Sep 25 Batley 5 Keighley 11
Sorry had to look it up. This I remember certainly been to Lawkholme Lane before, But this was certainly my first away match.
Later in a cup run I remember seeing the great Billy Boston playing at Keighley.
Unfortunately I was converted to a Claret :D :D
