I don’t know why they’ve had their arms pushed up their backs on this but they clearly didn’t want to approve it.
Well if UEFA cannot prevent European teams, playing National league going to other Continents to plat matches what hope is there.
Elon Musk will have us playing top flight games on the Moon or Mars soon!!!!!!!!!!

If I was a player of one of those teams I would be contacting my agent to get a massive slice of " the cake " for the inconvenience of travelling so far and, I doubt, something which isn't already ncluded in their current contracts.

Why do you think they are playing games of this nature?
Are you aware of the % of players wages to turnover at that the majority of professional football clubs?

Ceferin, UEFA President, said: “League matches should be played on home soil; anything else would disenfranchise loyal match-going fans and potentially introduce distortive elements in competitions.
Isn't fielding weakened teams prior to a big Euro game disenfranchising fans?

I read that article and readers ’HYS’ that followed. One of the ‘HYS’ participants comment was
“Fans are only there now to provide a backdrop”. That sentence sums it up perfectly, treacherous times are ahead for our game

Football in terms of being a sport is now dead, but as a business in the entertainment industry it is thriving with no end in sight.

Football is a much different beast now, from the game I grew up playing & watching.
It sold its soul years back & one of the worlds most corrupt institution ( FIFA ) evolved in plain sight, untouchable because of all the other powerful people feeding at the trough, in the background. UeFA are now just another branch.
The Big Clubs will be playing all over the place, before much longer, because it'll become "essential".

FIFA clearly not in favour either.
Infantino has said: “We have a structure whereby we have games at national level, at continental level, and then at global level. And this is a structure that made football the number one sport in the world. If we want to break this structure, we take a big risk.”
