I can remember the days when even Sunday nights was busy in Burnley. Thursday was student night which was busy, and Friday/Saturday was jam packed. Not been out in Burnley for several years, but the last time I did, it was even starting to die out then. I can only imagine how quiet it must be now. It's another world from cities like Leeds, where you can even go for a few drinks on a Monday evening and there'll be plenty of people in bars and restaurants.

Been out on a couple of Fridays and it was painful. Sanctuary in particular wanted a quid entry to see some bellends pretend to do karaoke. RIP Burnley nightlife.FactualFrank wrote:I can remember the days when even Sunday nights was busy in Burnley. Thursday was student night which was busy, and Friday/Saturday was jam packed. I think if I lived in Burnley, I'd jump on the X43 with a group of you and have a night in Manchester, before getting the last bus back. I remember doing it a few times - off the bus into Moon Under Water, and then go to a few local pubs and then end up somewhere like the Printworks.

Such a relief to know that there are no beggars, druggies stood motionless high on spice, empty flats, houses, plywood on windows, criminals or other such problems in Manchester .Top Claret wrote:It was definitely Burnley owd hen.
