Just arrived at Aberdeen airport from London and saw the players getting off their plane onto the team coach.

If the team coach drove up there why didn't they just get on the team coach.

Apparently the club went for a German budget flight

Whilst waiting on the tarmac the team heard the Captain over the radio shouting "this fokker is not going to make it"

I went up to Glasgow early yesterday with work, left Glasgow at 11.10 am, and the Burnley team coach was Northbound on M74, about 25 miles South of Glasgow. I guessed it would contain the players, only media, and support staff etc. But I didn't realise there had been a problem with the plane. UTC

Nothing too interesting. He mentioned that all the players went home for a few hours yesterday because of the plane problems (said that most of the players live fairly close to Manchester airport anyway) and gave an update on the injury situation.

First the plane, 5 or so players injured or not taking part, crash on motorway, we are Burnley and nobody likes us

The scheduled passenger plane was going already though. By flying chartered we burn an additional tank of fuel, not hard to understand.

Throughout the world, the same number of passengers have to be flown and wether by scheduled or chartered it makes no difference; they both use the same aircraft and the same fuel. So, if there were no chartered aircraft, there would have to be more scheduled aircraft. Not hard to understand.
