Some people are quick to criticise bud. I don't go to most games these days because I have a life and football is only a very small part of it. I DO go but only occasionally because things take priority, besides every time I do go I have to have an argument with my other half because it is not cheap and she hates football with a passion very rarely seen. Every pound spent on a game could be spent on something other she says. I paid my dues years ago when I was a season ticket holder for nearly 10 years and only missed one home match (a pre-season friendly) in 10 years or more. I originally only stopped going due to a nervous ailment that affected me for a few years (I'm fine now), but you kind of get out of the habit.
I get a bit cheesed off with the holier than thou 'I never miss a game' type, many of whom have probably attended less games than me and spent less money (pro-rata).
Some people cannot always attend and many, especially in Burnley, don't have a lot of money so when a game is on the TV who can blame them for not going. When Shankly famously said that football was far more important than life and death he was actually talking shite.

I must admit that before the game I thought the turnout maybe poor.

Wasn't expecting much more than 15k but was pleasantly surprised at 17.5k
Whatever the atmosphere was good driven by the support Aberdeen were getting from their fans.
It took a little while but Claret fans responded especially at the beginning of the second half.

Tense game nevertheless and at one point during the second half I was getting concerned they might sneak it.
Couldn't relax until Barnes penalty went in.

The Cricket Field was loads of fun last night. Amazing experience.

Anyone who hasn't experienced it should give it a go. Proper football crowd.

I agree with CFS the turnout was embarrassing.

Fans that turned up though gave a great account of themselves.

The atmosphere from both sets of fans at the CF was great and we both bounced off each other. Proper atmosphere.

Gutted we lost but loved the atmosphere nonetheless.

Burnley can't say it is only a scottish team or europa league as you can see from your faces how much it meant to you from our area. It certainly wasn't a nothing game for you lot.

Good luck in next round and season and hopefully we willet you again next season ;)
