Yes. It doesn't say that does it. And you say I'm struggling to interpret people's posts.

Please point me to the posts where anyone intimates this!

One poster says "Football isn't that important" meaning that football is less important than living, another poster says "the result is really important to us" quoting that post. To me that sounds like they're implying that football is more important than someone's life.
Yes, got it? I've then in subsequent posts exaggerated to make a point and you have taken it literally.
And please for the love of god moderate the exclamation mark use, unless you're really that excited while you post!

So infact noboby has actually said 'it'd be okay if we had to kill someone else if it meant we can win'! It's just you making it up!

I never said anyone did

If someone had actually said it, it would be in quotation marks, as a quote

You are reading the lines between the lines between the lines to come to that conclusion.
Nobody has even slightly suggested a win would top a death. The fact is the 5 are already deceased, making that historical, and Saturday is about paying tribute in memoria and then getting stuck in to a game of football. The way to honour them is with a full blooded all action game that all 5 of them would have loved to have attended.

Wowsers! Snowflake city on this thread. We need 3 points guys. Show respect for sure, but we are all dying as soon as we leave the womb.

The snowflakes seem to me to be the ones on here who cant accept someone might have a different opinion. When the match starts I'll want us to win but win or lose once the game is over I dont care and get on with my life.
Football and Burnley is just a hobby and not that important to me so in the grander scheme of things I wouldnt begrudge a Leicester victory and them giving their beloved owner a good send off on the pitch
Just a personal opinion and dont expect anyone else to think the same

Quite a statement there, Devils_Advocate. Speaks volumes.
Certainly not 'just a hobby' to most of us, more a way of life.
So, you're right, don't expect many, if anyone to agree with that view.

I agree to the majority of posters on here Burnley FC is a big part of their life. To me its 90 mins and during the game it matters a lot but before and after Its not that bigger deal
Dont get me wrong there are certain things that still excite me like qualifying for Europe last year and going to Athens but they are fewer and further between these days.

For what it's worth, I've always viewed D_A as a poster who adds value to this forum, EXCEPT when playing devils advocate purely for controversial reasons.

I do push for a reaction a bit sometimes but there is an honesty at the core of my posts and I believe it is healthy to challenge the status quo and generate discussion even if some people on here just cant seem to cope with differing views

Burnley is a big part of my life but so are many other things, as a result I tend to agree with you that after the immediate disappointment of a loss I move on pretty quickly because there's something else to deal with. The highs of being a fan definitely stay with me for longer because I chose to not let the lows affect the rest of my life.

Going to be a very strange day i must say .
On a very big plus i don't think there will be any football trouble anywhere near Leicester today .
