That would be a good reason, the other would be if it benefitted us. If we needed them to beat someone in order for us to get promotion for instance. Not wanting them to win for the sake of hatred if it cost us a promotiuon would be stupid.BFCmaj wrote:This week my lovely next door neighbour sadly lost his life. He was a season ticket holder at Eewood and we regularly had long conversations about football. He loved his team as much as I love the Clarets and yesterday I found myself wanting Rovers to win for him.

I remember when we won that Tuesday night match at Barnsley the first time we went up under Dyche, Blackburn were playing QPR the same evening - who were one of only two teams who could have caught us (Derby, as ever, were the other).
We were busy applauding the team off when the score was read out that the B***ards had won. Some smug smiles and knowing grins but absolutely no cheering.. just the right response in my book.

A bullet near-post header from Ash the Bash, as I recall. The one and only time I’ve seen us win at Oakwell, after many visits.NottsClaret wrote:I remember when we won that Tuesday night match at Barnsley the first time we went up under Dyche, Blackburn were playing QPR the same evening - who were one of only two teams who could have caught us (Derby, as ever, were the other).
