The owners of petrol stations wouldn't pay for such a facility. Trust me, I know the mentality.Jakubclaret wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 7:10 pmYes it’s futile short term but if the shortages ever became long term & consumers had to be rationed that’s the best way of going about it.

It’d be offset into the costing of the fuel passed to the consumers people wouldn’t have any other choice other than public transport.fidelcastro wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 7:17 pmThe owners of petrol stations wouldn't pay for such a facility. Trust me, I know the mentality.

What’s strange? I’m explaining to you how something would work, I agree short term it’s pointless but long term if people needed to be rationed.

"It’d be offset into the costing of the fuel passed to the consumers people wouldn’t have any other choice other than public transport. "
I'm wrestling with your post, Jakub, TBH.
I'll try to see if I can make sense of it with punctuation.
"It’d be offset into the costing of the fuel passed to the consumers. People wouldn’t have any other choice other than public transport. "
I'll add a few words too.
"It’d be offset into the costing of the [price of] fuel passed [on) to the consumers. [That way], people wouldn’t have any other choice but to use public transport. "
Now, I'll see if I can work what you meant.

Basically the owners of the petrol stations wouldn’t be paying for anything we would the people who buy the fuel.ecc wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 7:36 pm"It’d be offset into the costing of the fuel passed to the consumers people wouldn’t have any other choice other than public transport. "

If a greengrocer buys a sack of Maris pipers from a farmer & the price goes up all the greengrocer will do is put the price up to the consumer.
I’m not quite sure what’s difficult to understand despite any misunderstandings away from grammar & punctuation.
