Pukki causing all kinds of problems. Tarkowski booked for a stupid challenge on him outside the box. Flashbacks anyone? I hope the wall jumps.

Re: Burnley v Norwich: Match thread
In what world is that not a penalty? Absolutely scandalous
Re: Burnley v Norwich: Match thread
Blatant penalty and potential red. Where are the officials? Where is VAR?? ROBBED!

I've not seen it, but the BBC said he was punched in the head by both fists....surely, keeper or not, that is dangerous play.

I didn't think Kruul got a touch but admit it would have been harsh. Wood clearly offside but fluffs it after a knock on from Vydra. Crowd booing Gibson.

It's a penalty without question. Keepers have so much protection. But with challenges like that it's Vydra who needs protection

Offside, but he scooped it anyway.
Chris needs something to go for him.

Re: Burnley v Norwich: Match thread
There was no malice in the challenge. Really didn't look dangerous either, Vydra did his best to make a meal of it.Roosterbooster wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 3:20 pmIf Krul didn't get a touch, in what world would that have been harsh?
Re: Burnley v Norwich: Match thread
Harsh?! No touch of the ball and he's punched out striker in the head with both fists. It's a stone wall pen and probably a red.superdimitri wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 3:18 pmI didn't think Kruul got a touch but admit it would have been harsh. Leeds also denied a stonewall penalty in their game, so it's not just us who don't get them awarded.

Re: Burnley v Norwich: Match thread
Malice is irrelevant. So is danger. That's not what determines fouls. And how did Vydra make a meal of it? Punched in the face while jumping. Went to ground holding his head.superdimitri wrote: ↑Sat Oct 02, 2021 3:22 pmThere was no malice in the challenge. Really didn't look dangerous either, Vydra did his best to make a meal of it.
Are you fishing, or are you genuinely arguing that if Krul didn't touch the ball it's not a definite foul?

Lowts, Tarks & Wood all on yellows now, we'll need to tread carefully the mood Kevin Friend is in today, or we'll be going down to 10.

Friend really dishing out the yellows. No I'm not fishing, and yes there wasn't much in it. Vydra did his best to make it look worse than it is.

Yellow for Brownhill now.
Re: Burnley v Norwich: Match thread
Phil Bird is doing my head in, having to listen in today from afar. You get all excited at a penalty being awarded but it hasn't, he's just saying what he thinks he's seen. I'm all for claret tinted commentary but just tell us what's happened. Granted we might be hard done by, but twice he's conned me in half an hour.
Time he was pensioned off?

Just seen the Vydra incident with Krul.
I really don't know what to say.
It couldnt BE more of a penalty.

This has been tripe so far.
Oh and the Vydra incident wasn't a penalty as Hanley made the initial contact outside the box causing Vydra to clip his own heels inside the box

Re: Burnley v Norwich: Match thread
Why do we insist on constant high crosses, high balls etc when they have 3 centre halves. Another cross goes into their six yard box and Rodriguez is the only one there surrounded by about 6 yellows.
