What was the match going on at Burnley CC yesterday during the game? Didn't look very high quality.

Tod certainly seemed to have improved against Burnley. I was talking to someone who watched them at Clitheroe who described them as a very poor side.
No disgrace losing to Walsden for Lowerhouse but I thought they were bringing in a lot of youngsters this year? I certainly recognise 9 out of the 11 as regulars.

Ok thanks. Early season stuff but comparing it with son's club in SW London looked more 3rd/4th XI.

Don’t think it was said we’d be bringing loads of youngsters in but more that there will be young players getting opportunities throughout the season. Henri Cottam picked over Chris Bleazard this weekend.

Just a couple of house fans on this thread mentioning transition. For what it's worth 2 is probably about he best number to promote in terms of their progress.arise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 11:07 amDon’t think it was said we’d be bringing loads of youngsters in but more that there will be young players getting opportunities throughout the season. Clitheroe are now losing youngsters to play first team cricket who can't make their 1st X1. I think their pro is doubtful of coming over as well having been called up to the NZ 20/20 squad.

I see Lowerhouse have got their pro from the Worsley cup final subbing for Parry on Sunday. Could be worth watching!
