Frankly - there is no right way.

Just one aim - utilise what you have and can afford to have as a team/squad. Find a way to get points and not to loose points. Move up and build the team/squad...

The last bit got missed for several years. Not by SD but those looking to sell.

SD was a great manager always hamstrung financially which dictated our tried and tested recruitment. We made more from sales than he spent. Had to buy older to fill gaps. (I think he did this superbly).

A squad reset was always just around the corner though - (for 3 years).

VK has opened up his contact book etc and yes, the new squad plays a different way - Top of the Champ' but we will get battered playing this way if we go up. Picked apart...
And will the cash be spent on signings or signing our loans? - or just paying for our owners loans?...

I like what I see at the moment but we are inches away from a boring side to side back four football and this is the Champ'.

Under SD in the PL every game was a "stay in it game" and rightly so with the squad and budget allowed.
Personally seeing the pure effort and comitment each game against the odds made me proud - simply by being a fan.

Times change.
The only two things that do not change
1- the "right way" is the way of finding a way to winning points.
2- Your Club.
