Thought free header from about 6 yards would have received more mentions

One that Always sticks in my mind was a Frank Casper one at PNE on edge of area chest, knee, volley into roof of the net .

The type of goal that Ashley Hoskin scored away at Swansea on a Friday night in February 1987. Ran the length of the bobbly pitch and beat every Swansea player in the process. Great skill, control , balance, composure. Never seen a better goal.

Can't beat a chip.

As bad as he was when at Man Utd, Di Maria's goal against Leicester is one of the best controlled and skillful goals i can recall.

Hilarious own goals e.g the Djimi Traore 360 degree spin into his own net.

Roger Eli vs Peter Shilton. Get it out wide, perfect cross, bullet header. Old school. Don't see enough goals like that any more for my liking!

for me a well worked team goal, doesn't have to be 25 passes, but through the lines or a pull back and smashed in with the net bulging or a very well taken free kick in to the top corner out of the GK's reach!

Volley from outside the box.

Honorary mention for when it goes straight in from a corner Westy style

Scotland goals.
Ah yes, Scotland goals. Due to their rarity, every one is a collectors item.

Thought he was being a bit cocky put an "s" on the end of goal

in terms of type as opposed to specific goals.. you can't beat the anticipation that surrounds a direct free kick 20/25 yards out. So often they come to nothing, but when they burst the net, the release is outstanding - Twine against WBA last season a good example - especially at that stage of the game having been behind. But Defour at OT a few years back is the perfect example! Woosh!!
