Considering the long glorious career VK had in the Premier league you'd have thought out of everyone at Turf Moor he would know how physical the Premier league is and bought accordingly.

And be able to identify a decent back up centre half , clearly not .

As i recall, Ekdal wasn't 100% fit then though i might be wrong, but remember something along those lines.

What's for sure now is that Ekdal certainly starts ahead
of O'Shea, when fit. And al-dakhil.
