Maybe the Club could clarify how this has happened?
That would be nice.

Had a response from the Ticket Office that they are aware of the issue and are looking into how it happened. But they did point out that it did go to General Sale, which makes sales more difficult to monitor/control. I then asked the question, that even on General Sale, do people still require a Clarets Number? The response was yes they do but anyone can apply for one.

Would rather we took the reduced allocation in future and just had 1500 Burnley fans there.

Thanks for reporting back.

Good to know that they are aware of the issue and looking in to it.

I take their point about general sale but wasn’t it in all blocks from what I can tell? And also you’d imagine a large influx of clarets number requests to buy Arsenal tickets might ring a few alarm bells?

I suspect they are in on it. Maybe a batch of tickets are sold to an agency, maybe to Destination Sports Group, one of the club partners?

One asks the question about "Clarets Membership" and "Ticket Touts" buying tickets up 🙄

Agreed, I'd be surprised if so many were clued up enough to look and register on our website.

Aside from Salford in the cup, this was my first away game this season and there were certainly a lot of Arsenal fans or neutrals who had bought up tickets in our end.

I did see a couple of people openly celebrating the Arsenal goals too. It would only have taken one idiot who's had a few too many to start on someone and you've got an issue. Needs looking into as it shouldn't be that easy for randomers to buy up tickets, even on General Sale.

I saw tickets being advertised on a ticket resale site (cant recall which one) for about £150 each for the away end, it might explain the "tourist" element who were in there.

I understand the issue regarding the potential for trouble, but really we shouldn't be getting precious about tickets for a sporting event - especially as they reached general sale. That said, it is wrong that third parties appear to be able to profit from ticket sales.

Trust me Tony, you were lucky to get block 20. 22 was all Arsenal/tourists.

From what I could see, 20 & 21 looked better.
Good grief - block 20 was bad enough

Well 20/21 looked like the Longside compared to 22. I found it most annoying as I was supposed to be in 20 but ended up being moved to 22.
