Re: Matt Williams on bbc radio tonight.
Last interview I remember Garlick doing was at the end of a summer window when he said he had bid a club record 20m for a player, all the rumours alluded to that player being kalvin Phillips before Leeds had come up to the prem

Things behind the scenes seem a world away from the amateur administration of Edmunson, Fletcher, Flood etc.
Pace is more open and approachable than any other chairman we’ve had in the last 30-40 years.
All this isn’t translating the the pitch though at the moment.

Re: Matt Williams on bbc radio tonight.
Hope that Matt Williams is close to the board on the subject of Kompany's job security. I am very much looking forward to next season in the Championship with him at the helm again.
Re: Matt Williams on bbc radio tonight.
Happy to see so many still positive and supporting VK and the team.
I don’t think any Burnley fan is happy with the way this season has gone so far but we’re not dead yet!
In the long term it doesn’t really matter if we get relegated this season, I fancy us to bounce back next season and give it a better shot the following year, getting promoted with a settled group and not needing such an enormous shake up.
Through thick and thin, the good and the bad (just not hoofball for 10 years)

Next season will be a ton of fun watching the likes of Esteve at that level. What a joke that will be.

That's a disgusting comment to be fair.HitchinClaret wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 3:29 pmWell said KRBFC.
Whatever Coolclaret is (fantasist/troll/attention seeker etc) I'm sure its high on the spectrum so should be given sufficient leeway and/or ignored.

And also let me add it’s a damn shame some of you lot have already made your mind up on some of these young new players, you’re slagging them off when their Burnley career has only just got started.
Some of these youngsters could leave as modern day BFC hero’s like Trippier, Heaton, Pope etc.

Re: Matt Williams on bbc radio tonight.
I haven’t heard this latest interview with Matt Williams but his previous interview just after the window closed was very reassuring. Especially when he mentioned that left back cover was a priority but they were unsuccessful but “not for the want of trying”.
Re: Matt Williams on bbc radio tonight.
Say what you want about VK and this season, but most players have signed because of VK. And the fact players like Esteve etc still wanted to come here given the position we are in says a lot about how players see him as a coach.

Thought it was a good interview. Seems to be a feel of stability about the place if that Williams said was true.

According to Matt Williams Kompany has the safest job of all 92 managers. Many posters now calling for VK to go so how precarious is his position after today?RVclaret wrote: ↑Wed Feb 14, 2024 10:26 pmGreat interview.
Snippet of it here too:

Kompany having the ‘safest job in the 92’ is interesting.

Re: Matt Williams on bbc radio tonight.
It’s funny how Matt Williams gets so much praise when he’s an integral part of running of the club.
Re: Matt Williams on bbc radio tonight.
It will depend on the financial situation at the club, won't it.
Clever from VK to load us with so much expensive shite that we now probably can't afford to sack him.
Maybe he is a genius after all.

I haven't counted, but it seems there are as many if not more, saying he should staykentonclaret wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 6:28 pmAccording to Matt Williams Kompany has the safest job of all 92 managers. Many posters now calling for VK to go so how precarious is his position after today?
