There is no way that ALL Palestinians support Hamas, but as in other regions of the planet, ruled by guns rather than democracy, opposition could be fatal.
I read a report recently of a Palestinian ex Hamas member, who'd woken up to the lies and hypocrisy he'd been raised on. Most people on this planet just want to live in peace, they want their children to be safe, educated and free. It isn't limited to colour or religion. Even the IRA had to come to the table in the end, so will Palestine. In order to do that it will have to ignore the pressure from the likes of Iran, which won't be easy. Its a bloody mess and the innocent Palestinians are paying the price, as the innocent always do.

I suppose these situations are always more complex than people from the outside looking in think. Interesting points about the propaganda and fear aspect but you’d think protestors in this country could see through that as do exiled Russians.

I believe most people in this country do see through it, but there has always been a minority that believe by shouting the loudest they somehow gain the moral high ground. They don't, but you won't convince them of that. There are also political activists more than happy to stoke the flames.

It's a problem we have all suffered from at sometime, to see everything in black and white, when reality is its just different shades of grey.
Political debate is a dying art. People take offence too easily, drown out real debate. The media is just a mish mash of biased opinions, both left and right. Online media has algorithms that just feed that bias. Tolerance of opposite opinions has gone.
