Three draws against Liverpool, Villa and Chelsea would have made people really happy and would have given us 3 points. We won 6 points !!

I always say that when you play teams makes a difference. We played Liverpool at a good time, Chelsea at a bad time. Had Lampard been in charge we wouldn’t have lost like we did today. Alonso wouldn’t have played, that’s for sure.

Glen Hoddle said at half time:"Chelsea have so much time and space in midfield it's too easy for them, the Burnley midfield need to do something about it in the second half". Never has a pundit spoken a truer word. We need a total upgrade in midfield.
Josh Brownhill has been putting a tremendous amount of work in, particularly defensively. Missed today.

That was certainly a factor, and it's rarely a good time to play a club who've just appointed a new manager, all the players give that extra effort to impress him, and run that little bit faster, and if they do that and match our physicality, then 9 times out of ten they'll win the game due to having superior players.

They had an extra man in there. No wonder we were chasing shadows.
The rigid 4-4-2 has served us well but when the top sides turn up we are short.
5-4-1 is the only way to play against City or Chelsea.
