Brilliant suggestion. Sampdoria became my ‘other’ team around this time. Followed them ever since. This season has been an unmitigated disaster, with a very fortunate and miraculous ending…thanks to Brescia’s incompetence

A series on Apple.

"Stick" is a comedy series starring Owen Wilson. I appreciate the fact that Owen Wilson may be an acquired taste but I find him amusing. He's not LOL material but dry, laconic.

Anyway, in "Stick" he plays an ex-golf player down on his luck. Now selling golf equipment and going through a divorce, he chances on a 17-year-old prodigy at a driving range. He sees an opportunity to make money but the kid's mother is almost as streetwise as Wilson's character.

It's light and undemanding but there's genuine chemistry between the main actors and I enjoyed it. A second series has been commissioned.

Berlin Station …tucked away on ITVX …is a high quality American-made espionage series. Really enjoying it. I miss Homeland but this is as good as anything I’ve seen since and knocks spots off ridiculously far-fetched nonsense like Black Doves.

Alien Earth is one of the best things I've seen in a long time (Disney Plus).

Matchroom- The Greatest showmen on Netflix.

A very good behind the scenes documentary about the wheeling, dealing and major events organisation that goes on within the Barry /Eddie Hearn sports promotion business empire.

I thought Hostage was diabolical telly. Really poorly put together. One of the worst things I've ever watched. Lazy, stereotyped, wafer-thin style over substance.

Some recommendations -
Woman of the Hour
Hit Man
Black Rabbit (half way through)
We Live In Time

The next instalment of the Monster series drops on Friday, dramatising the grisly crimes of Ed Gein.
