Having moaned for a long time about Dyche and Garlick never looking to Europe for players, it seems odd to say this, but I think it is no coincidence that the two players who have looked the most 'oven ready' for the team have been Tella and TBH who have experience of English football. With some caveats Maatsen, has also looked up to speed and he of course also has Championship experience. Maybe with the crucial positions of CB and CF we might consider the added value that comes with players who are proven at this level and know what they are getting involved in.
I also think that THB and Tella and Maatsen have been our best players out of all of our new recruits.

I believe that all 3 are atm only with us on loan. If they carry on with their good performances hopefully 1 or 2 or 3 will sign for us permanently.

He and his agent have already let it be known he wants to move to the Prem so why would he choose us over Forest

We are operating the right way
Getting quality players in and having loan players who have the potential to buy .We will have funds available as we are going up and money coming in as a result. We are two players short of a very good team and I feel VK will sort out this shortly.

Do you often see players hold a conference to announce they would like to play in the Prem ?

It is common knowledge

Who do you think they let it be known to ? Clubs who have enquired about him like Forest or people on a football forum ?

How do you think the club knows Mikautadze would like to come to Burnley, he hasn't held a conference either but the club knows this.

I get you like to take the contrary stance in most things but at least use a bit of sense

All 3 have hit the ground running, though Maatsen rather blotted his copybook with that daft red card.

We might be in a position to potentially make them all permanent deals, but only if we gain promotion this season.

A group on here will spend next summer complaining and then we start the season all over again ...

If we don't go up then so be it, the owners and VK appear to be prepared for that instance.

No negativity but the plan you mentioned seemed that promotion was a massive requirement.

I am asking how does that plan work if we don’t?

Or we could waste our time trying and instead miss out on someone who wants to come here regardless of the fact we're a championship club.

Ok we offer the 4m plus that is wanted what happens next ? You pick the likely answer or answers

Blackpool accept it and the player and agent say we will wait for better offers
Blackpool turn it down
Forest offer him more money
Fulham offer him more money
Bournemouth offer him more money
He signs for us

But what I’m saying is your making out like it’s an absolute fact we have no chance.

From what I can see no one else seems willing to meet blackpools demands.

Similarly the player seems content as he is still playing

It's not just that if the 3 do well which I hope they do the 3 players progresses will alert other clubs who will just come in & gazump us at the drop of a hat, everybody will be watching them with a viewing to wanting them as the players will be available even loaning out again elsewhere that's the only drawback to borrowing something if it turns out to be good it's unlikely to be ever yours to keep.

Ok, lets see which championship club he ends up at. Why do you think the player said no to Forest in January what was it that

Only Watford seems like a club in this division who may bid due mainly to their sales but it is a very unlikely destination.

He isn't what we need or are probably looking for which is the main reason you claim we should be all over this. Then once he goes elsewhere you have something else to gripe about. It is fairly obvious to anyone who has been to a game this season what we need another wide player isn't it. Unless of course you think we need a wide player more than a centre half and a forward

I’ve been to a game this season and it was abundantly clear to me we need quality.

You don't need to physically attend football games to know where we need to strengthen, it's strange how some people think television sets don't serve any purpose in terms of knowing what's what & to know what's what you need to attend, football scouts don't all go the games in person sometimes watching the players perform on television can assist.

Quite true, though some who don't go won't watch on tv either in fear of the sight of someone taking the knee

He usually misses the first 15 minutes of every match as will not be in a 1 mile radius of anyone taking the knee - even when it’s on his telly.
