Sorry if this is a silly question, but if we were to get to the fa cup final, is there still a Europa league spot up for grabs? I remember Portsmouth did it once?

Does it not work that if we got to the final and the team that beat us already qualified for champions league or Europa via the league it goes to fa cup runners up?

No the rules have changed I'm afraid. The place would go to the next highest team in the league.
