Burnley regained their PL position only at the beginning of this season . So far they are excellent in home matches matching the best clubs of Pl .
The media all the time are pointing with accusing fingers of our away performance . the fans are more concern about their safe position in the present classification of all clubs . Wins for away matches will come and that before the end of the season .
Points for away matches will come .

Re: Points for away matches will come .
I do hope so davemanu200, but at present it doesn't look very likely.
We just don't have the set up or players who can create enough chances for us to
get the goals required.
We've got one player who might make the difference in terms of creating chances
and that's Defour and hopefully he'll be back soon.
We've got games against Sunderland, Boro, Palace and Bournemouth
that we should be targeting as possible wins but I'm far from convinced we will
play for wins. The emphasis might be to put out a team not to lose, so to speak.
And yes, if we picked up draws at most of those games we will probably stay up.
Personally I'd be happy if we just win one of those and draw another because that will also
mean we are likely to stay up.
However, for us to stand a chance of a win we will need Defour back to his best in those games
as well as hoping others play well.
I really don't think we can rely on our home form to pull us through.
Yes, its been magnificent so far but I just don't think it can continue and we've got some very tricky
home games coming up. Stoke and West Brom at home look the most likely in terms of points/wins.
We need a win away. Do that and we're very close to staying up and ensuring none of the
bottom three catch us up.

But one thing in our favour is that neither Hull, Boro or Sunderland look like they are going to put a run together.

Leicester looked doomed two seasons ago and then they went on a mad run, it isn't out of the realm of possibility that one of them could pick up in form.
Re: Points for away matches will come .
Spijed, the same could have been said about Swansea and Palace a few games ago and more lately Leicester.
Swansea were rock bottom 5 or 6 games ago and we were 11 or 12 points ahead of them, I think.
Palace and Leicester looked in free fall too. Now all those three look as if they'll avoid the drop
and have got those few wins to give them confidence to think they'll be safe.
I don't wish to sound too pessimistic but anyone of Hull, Boro and Sunderland could still go on a decent run
(and we have a poor run) to find themselves just a few points behind us with say 3 or 4 games to go.
There's still 11 games to go and 33 points to play for.
You can't discount Sunderland because they've done it before nor arguably Hull who will look at their remaining fixtures
and think they've got 4 or 5 winnable games.
That's why I believe a win at Sunderland and/or Boro' (ideally both) will give us the impetus to push on and
make it virtually certain we stay up. It might be that draws at both those will suffice assuming we can
get a home win or two from our remaining games.
We've yet to have a seriously poor run over 6 games or so and I hope we don't
but it's not beyond the bounds of doubt.
Yes we're in a pretty strong position and we're not even being talked about as potential relegation
candidates but that makes me feel a tad uncomfortable. A feeling I don't like.

It's undeniable that Swansea & Leicester have been given a lift. In Leicester's case though it's obvious they wanted to get Ranieri sacked, so downed tools.jurek wrote:Spijed, the same could have been said about Swansea and Palace a few games ago and more lately Leicester.

As for Hull, Boro & Sunderland I can't see Boro going on a run unless Karanka changes the way they play, score more, concede more.
Hull's uplift seems to have come & gone a bit (1 point out of 3). They've got Swansea at home next so something has got to give for either club.
And Sunderland have David Moyes in charge, someone who always seems to look on the negative side.

Watford are being touted as a mid table team and we are ahead of them !
