The Great Manchester run

Post by Sutton-Claret » Mon Mar 06, 2017 11:34 pm

Has anybody on here done the Great Manchester Run? I've got a place for the first time and was just checking the route - it basically starts in the centre - get on the A57 to the Etihad - then run back down the A57 to Old Trafford - then back to the centre. I've done the Great North run 4 times and really enjoy the route / atmosphere / scenery. Just can't imagine running the A57 to be that special.

Sounds like you're doing the new half marathon rather than the 10k .........I've done the Great North 7 times and Manchester 10k 8 times I think........always in aBurnley shirt which ensures plenty of support in the way round!.........the atmosphere is usually fab and to run past grounds we now play at us a bonus! Enjoy!
