5 game ban

Post by dpinsussex » Mon Mar 13, 2017 4:06 pm

For knocking a red card out of a referees hand having been sent off which the decision was later rescinded

Shouldn't have knocked it out of his hand then, should he. Took it like a professional and he'd be back on the park earning his bonuses.

Guessing that his club can put in a counterclaim and get some money off the FA for not being able to control their ref?

Might not have got much more if he'd kicked him in the nads.

At least he'd have got his money's worth.

It has to stand for me, its dissent or ungentlemanly conduct, whatever you want to call it.

I've noticed the referee was Trevor Kettle - he should have been given a prize for that rather than a punishment. One of the worst referees in English football and has been for a long time.

But seriously, the decision has to stand because you can't show dissent like that. However, I'd like to see more consistency.

Ashley Barnes missed the Swansea game with a suspension. The first of the two cards was for dissent. I've no problem with that, but if that was a yellow then Swansea should have had four or five and a couple of reds for their protest over the penalty last week. No action taken whatsoever by Taylor.
