Sad news. Like such as Brian Miller at Burnley, he was very much a one club man both as a player and a coach.

If memory serves me correctly, Moran scored the 120th minute penalty in the FA Cup replay against us in 1963, the game that proved to be Jimmy Mac's last for the Clarets.

Old fashioned fullback, loyal as a butcher's dog to Liverpool. RIP

The legendary Boot Room - how many trophy victories were plotted in there ? Moran seemed a decent bloke.

He certainly did. As has been mentioned, a loyal servant to Liverpool Football Club whose contribution to their success on the field might have gone un-noticed. Management, albeit very brief, didn't apparently suit him though.

That penalty certainly dented our cup hopes after that great win in the previous round.
Nice bloke at the beginning of a great Liverpool team.
