How much money would it take..

Post by morpheus2 » Sat Apr 22, 2017 7:08 pm

...for you to become a Blackburn fan.

I was thinking about this after seeing people putting money on Burnley being relegated and talking about how the cash could ease the pain. What would it take for you to become an apostate of Burnley and actually recondition yourself to be a genuine Blackburn fan. I could do a lot with £50.

I've heard there are Rovers fans bringing their kids to TM for the odd game because their kids want to see PL football.

Its not a big step from that to buying a season ticket if their kid wants to go more regularly.

A bet on relegation is different to switching allegiance (but you already know that).

I couldn't ever be a Rovers fan no matter how much I was offered. I genuinely wouldn't and couldn't mean it.

We have a guy comes in the shop where I work part time and we started talking about football the other day. He used to be a Man United fan but got hacked off with the cost of going etc and so became a Blackburn fan!!!! :-) I did have a chuckle at that one!

Could you not mean it for say £50 or £61.48p just a tiny little bit? You could buy an awful lot of loo roll and Happy Shopper washing up liquid for that.

There isn't enough money on the planet to make me even give it a moments thought.

If you can switch from supporting one team to another, then you were never a fan in the first place.

Probably not, but I'd do a damned good job at pretending for that money!

Kid who plays football with my nephew has a season ticket at rovers and Burnley. Know of a few more youngsters who have season tickets at both. It's an odd scenario to see but it happened a lot "back t'int day" didn't it?

"How much money would it take?"

Slightly less money than it would take for the soap bill that I'd have to run up, to thoroughly cleanse myself from this temporary state of deplorable insanity.

How long would we have to support Blackburn for?

Could I go on for one game, boo a lot and declare in a very loud voice that I'm never coming again till we (they, well, whatever!) regain their rightful place in the premier league.

Whats that?

Thats what 10,000 + have done already?!?
