Mock The Week

Post by basil6345789 » Sun Jun 11, 2017 10:25 pm

Just switched off from watching this. Is this what London is about - a collection of right tossers? Who pays these slimey people - we tax-payers?

Probably licence payers as it's on the BBC.

He's a bit too intelligent for that.

Mock the Week used to be very good but has gone downhill due to the crap comedians that they get on these days.

I still don't know what you're going on about with the London thing though.

Londonised. I like that. It does explain a lot of people down there. Rhymes with ****

So you just watched the first 25 minutes of it then, before you decided it wasn't for you and complained about it?
(I'm not a huge fan of it myself - so i just don't watch it).

Started in 2005, hasn't been funny or edgy since 2009.

Started off as genuinely funny but it's made stars of the regulars and quickly became a jealously guarded circle w8nk for comedians who want to sell out the 02 and write a book once a year rather than actually be funny.

You'll never catch Stewart Lee on there.

Still one of the better political comedy shows out there.

I mean, if you tune in the day after the most amazing Tory **** up for generations and you are a right wing loon, you might not have enjoyed it much.

I'm guessing Basil though was applauding when a succession of suspiciously old sounded people have been complaining about the yoof vote since the election.

Thats democracy fella, you had better get used to it!

The word is actually 'puke'.
I'm from London and wanted to point that out so I can pat myself on the back.
Well done me.

I didn't watch it, but agree that the 'comedians' they have on now are pretty crap.

I think the only one that gives me a laugh is Milton Jones. I'm also still not sure whether Sarah Pascoe is meant to be a comedian, or just turns up randomly.
