Alfie Mawson

Post by UpTheBeehole » Mon Jun 12, 2017 2:11 pm

How would you feel if we put £15m of the Keane money towards Alfie Mawson at Swansea?

I've just been reading this interview with him, and he already sounds like the type of player Dyche would go for.

You could say that it should be relatively seamless - young good English talent replacing another.

He would be excellent. Would Swansea sell to a direct rival ? Very unlikely in my opinion.

Would be a great signing its a pity we didn't get.him while he was at Barnsley but the £15m would still leave us
£25 m to get the new Joey Barton and a pacy wide man

Personally don't like him. He scored a great goal against Leicester live on telly and he got big plaudits. Looked a bit shaky towards the end of the season. I'd like us to try and build in a replacement within the Keane deal to maybe land someone we might not do otherwise, either another Keane (young and upcoming) or an experienced head like a Jagielka, Smalling etc.. or Tom Lees from Wednesday.

I agree - no they wouldn't.
Why would they and as the player himself says "I don’t see myself being anywhere else for a long time".
