Re: Little Mix
Like I've mentioned in the past. People are 'offended' because they want to be noticed. They aren't offended, but they pretend to be to make their miserable lives more significant.

Re: Little Mix
How is this even a story?
Some talentless gimp decides to change her hairstyle. Some people don't like it.
Oh right. Can't wait for the feature length report on which metals people find the most difficult to spell.
When did the news become so baseless?

Re: Little Mix
Not heard anything of them since Grey left. Thought they might of disappeared into the vacuum that Cowell's acts all disappear into when he's had his silver.

In fairness, they don't usually tend to wear much beside dreadlocks.

Re: Little Mix
How many people have to complain to make it a story?
Looking at that picture about 200,000 people liked it.
I’m guessing about five muppets were not happy.

There must be a large table somewhere with sad ba$tards sat around it drinking tea and thinking up lots of ways they can be offended.

Re: Little Mix
Does anyone actually care nowadays if someone is offended by something? A trawl of the news in one day will reveal at least 30 'stories' of people being offended by something. We are all becoming immune to those who are supposedly outraged or offended. I couldn't care less any more.
The perpetually-outraged idiots that inhabit social media are an irrelevant body of people who spend their lives behaving like that bloke in Monty Python who sold arguments for a living.

I can't believe people have such boring lives to be bothered about, or worse pretend to be bothered about, someone's hairstyle.

Some people claiming it's offensive to the Black Community.
What utter tosh, equality is supposed to be about just that, equality.

What colour is the woman in the picture anyway?
She's so covered in slap I can't tell what she'd look like after a wash.

Couldn't care less about the dreads. Don't think any of them look that great and the music is plain awful.

I don't really understand this 'cultural appropriation' thing. If I see an Indian wearing a three-piece suit, am I allowed to report him to the police? Or is that not "how it works"?

No, only Caucasians can be guilty of cultural appropriation (not to mention Imperialism, slavery and playing "divide and rule")

Re: Little Mix
There were a handful of people calling her racist and accusing her of ''cultural appropriation'' on Instagram and Twitter.
Basically calling her racist, while telling her she couldn't wear dreadlocks because she's not black.
Thankfully, most people couldn't give a toss.

Re: Little Mix
This B******t has been going on since Elvis Presley started having hits, he was accused of " Cultural appropriation " by some in the Black community, and of " Promoting the evil N****r music " by racists in the deep south where he grew up ....
Re: Little Mix
Longer than that, in fact. Anyone seen the film "The Book Thief"? One little German lad was a great admirer of Jesse Owens and wanted to be a sprinter; he put shoe polish on his face to try and be Owens. The Nazis were particularly opposed to that sort of thing, in real life as well as in this film - I don't think they called it "cultural appropriation", but basically they agreed with the viewpoints expressed by the anti-dreadlock brigade.
Re: Little Mix
As has been mentioned above it seems that some people will complain about absolutely anything. Found this on a Defence site that I read stuff on:
A man from Irvine in Scotland has criticised the MoD after British Army troops from the Scots Guards set up in the town centre with guns.
Yes, you read that correctly, soldiers had guns.
I believe it was a recruitment stand.

Re: Little Mix
Offence is always taken and very rarely given. Too many people in this country need to grow up and stop being offended on behalf of others. I don't like Little Mix but they have a right to wear their hair (or anything else - however little) in whatever style they like.
Oh my days how I hate political correctness with an absolute passion.
