For future reference, I have an annual insurance (about £80) with an outfit called Autoaid, they cover me and the Mrs in/on any of our vehicles, including the motorbikes and have been brilliant/fast whenever we've called them.
Conversely, steer clear of the cover offered by Carol Nash Insurance: After we'd sat by the roadside for six hours, receiving a string of broken promises, they eventually advised us at 11:00pm on a Friday night: "Sorry, we'll not be able to do anything for you tonight, you'll just have to sort it out for yourself." We might've had a good chance of doing so at five o'clock, but not at eleven!
