Padiham in the dark ages.
Yet more power cuts over the last hour.
The only light I have is from my phone which has 4% battery remaining.
I possess no candles.
Still, on the bright side, another 3 points tonight !

If anyone in the Church Street area of town can quickly knock together a Brazier then you can set it up outside my house.
A bit of light and warmth, sing a few Burnley songs and donations of alcohol would be a job well done.

It's not been helped by people turning the back up generators off all weekend.
3rd party interference they called it.

People working damn hard to get power to those without only to antagonise the usual 'whinge merchants'.
'Them generators are meckin a reight racket'
'Why have they plonked it near my house'
'Hope them bloody things aren't going to be running all night'
'I've got electric back but no Internet'
'What am I supposed to do with the food in my freezer'
First World problems eh?

Re: Padiham in the dark ages.
Just a quick note to anybody who might be genuinely worried about their freezer and it's contents:
All you need to do is keep the door closed. As long as you do that, the frozen food will be insulated and won't spoil.
When I worked at the old job centres we were inundated with people claiming emergency loans because their freezer had "exploded" and the food had somehow instantly spoiled.
When my own freezer broke, it took 5 days to have a new one delivered but the food inside was still good.

Padiham is so much better in the dark
Was a great place until Burnley borough council took over, built the council housing then sent all the chavs from Burnley to live there, ruined.
Despite the best efforts of the few decent people who remain, it will struggle to become a desirable place to live until they cleanse the place of the scourge of society.
