Stick to cricket- Geoff Boycott
A great episode this week with Boycs as guest.
Despite his obvious health problems he is always great entertainment with his no nonsense approach.
Definitely worth a watch.

For anybody who hasn't seen this podcast, they replicate the football podcast with Bumble, Tuffers, Vaughan and Ali Cook.
Very funny and have great guests.

One of the most self-serving, pompous professional sportsmen to play any sport. I’m sure stick to cricket is half decent but I won’t be watching that episode. Nowhere near as good as he thought he was.

It’s very funny with decent guests, the last few have been Joe Root, Wasim Akram, Ravi Shastri.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Wed Sep 17, 2025 5:58 pmOne of the most self-serving, pompous professional sportsmen to play any sport. Next time you go for a curry, don't forget to order the boycott curry....... what's that you ask? Well you still get the runs but not as quick!

Re: Stick to cricket- Geoff Boycott
I remember being in the dentist waiting room on a Saturday morning watching him and Tavare open on the small tv they had there. I think they scored 2 between them in the first hour. Incredible how much the game has changed since. I think waiting for the dentist was the lesser of the two evils tbh. Absolute turgid stuff.

Boycs was commentating and an Englishman dropped a slip catch
“my old mum could’ve caught that one in her pinny”
was his analysis.

I was at Trent Bridge when he ran Derek Randall out, against the Aussies.
The bloke sat next to us wasn't a fan of his, and the air turned blue!
I've softened to him, with the passing years. And his Grannies stick of rhubarb!

Only 8000 runs in 108 Tests at an average of just under 48. Yes he was proper rubbish.Hibsclaret wrote: ↑Wed Sep 17, 2025 5:58 pmOne of the most self-serving, pompous professional sportsmen to play any sport.
