definitely progress, and after watching the dutch review, yes it took a minute or 2 to get to the right decision, but the right decision was eventually made. I know that we would have at least 2 points more this season and Arsenal 4 less if this was in place now.

What other multi-billion pound business relies purely on the spontaneous decision of one man [the referee/refs assistant]. Surely there is too much money in the game now for video refs not to be used.

I would like to know how many goals have been given by goal line technology since it was introduced. I always thought it was the least useful use of cameras, offsides and penalty box incidents surely are more in need of extra eyes.
