Bournemouth Vs Man City

Post by IndigoLake » Sat Aug 26, 2017 12:43 pm

Charlie Daniels has just scored an absolute peach of a goal. 1-0 Bournemouth.

I actually screamed like a fangirl. I rarely get that excited about goals from other teams.

They are a great team to watch the cherries, quality in the right areas.

Problem is that they can't defend! They'll probably still be okay though.

Ake will be lucky if he stays on the pitch because he pulled back Jesus as he was about to shoot (which may have been a pen if he hadn't scored) and has just dropped him when he was possibly the last man but a way out.

Think thats part of the reason, not seen many drab games with them involved.

You know City have fallen far when they celebrate a win at Bournemouth like they've won the Champions League.

Only scored the goal in the 96th/97th minute. Ref was very keen to have a winner!

Ref blows on 100 minutes.

I think we need to review this 30 minute half thing - it's looking appealing. So sick of all the cheating tactics in the game. City a disgrace - clearly take after their **** of a manager!

Why do stewards feel the need to get involved when a player goes to his own supporters?
Drives me mad. All they do is exacerbate the situation.
I don't agree with players leaving the pitch but in a moment of great emotion the pricks should just sit on their hands.

Sterling didn't go into the crowd, he celebrated on the pitch the fans decided to join him, awful refereeing, the fans ultimately got him sent off.

I thought I saw him run past the stewards to the fans spilling over.

Bournemouth still without a point.

I thought that - didn't he run towards the manager/subs in the dugout?

Bournemouth could be in trouble this season. Very tough fixtures coming up - arsenal, Everton and spurs next 3 away game

Seems like the big heads get as much time as they want to score its ridiculous 101 mins in a match! Sterling sending off is daft though, ruining the game these daft laws.

That's spot on - and yet when the Watford player did jump into the crowd last season when he scored against us no action was taken and he'd already got a yellow card. Sterling run towards the crowd but didn't appear to go in.

I thought the 5 minutes was right. It didn't start until 91 (Lee Probert showed the board again) because Guardiola & Howe were at war. We then had the injury to Afobe which pushed it back further so he was still well within the time when City scored.

Dean did seem to lose the plot but the time keeping was right.

AFCB have lost the first three matches of all three of their Prem seasons so far.
I didn't watch their game today but it sounds like they played well. I think there's a bit of straw clutching going on as we eagerly look for early relegation candidates. They have a good culture, management and players and a habit of picking up points on the road. I think they'll be fine.

But defensively they are still very poor despite spending around £30 million on a goalkeeper and central defender. And Defoe looks like he's not the same player as he was for Sunderland.

Are Bournemouth having some work doing at their ground?

They had around ten and half thousand on again, when they usually have over eleven thousand on.

I think they've only lost first 2 in previous seasons. Beat West Ham 4-3 in third game last year, drew against palace in third game season before

A ridiculous sending off for Sterling. I also thought Citeh just about deserved their win - they went for all 3 points and never gave up - on another day they could have had a handful.

Wonder what the justification for Ake's yellow card was.

Mike Dean used to be very good. He's one of the worst now.

I am sure I heard on the radio yesterday that 3 of Bournemouths Russian directors have resigned with immediate effect, and the company that's the main backer is in some sort of trouble..
