Re: Mark Hughes
The suggestion is that losing a match in a ‘pointless’ competition shouldn’t have any bearing on the managers position.

Re: Mark Hughes
I'll be amazed if the Stoke board see it as pointless. There could be no bigger sign that the players don't want to perform for him.claptrappers_union wrote:The suggestion is that losing a match in a ‘pointless’ competition shouldn’t have any bearing on the managers position.

Stoke are dead in the water. He had to go. The next one to go will be Peter Crouch.

5-live ...
Best part of an hour of Stoke fans saying they wanted him gone, Savage asking who they wanted to replace him and the Stoke fans not having a real clue who they wanted to replace him.....

Re: Mark Hughes
Not a lot of quality candidate's out there.
The Coates family have a hard decision to make. Can't see them going down the foreign route with a manager with no English league experience.
They might make a surprise appointment such as Uve Rosler with a limited amount of management experience but plenty of playing experience.

Re: Mark Hughes
Commendable loyalty by the owners when others have jumped the gun this season but they have left this decision way too late. Difficult to see them attracting an aspiring/upcoming manager with relegation a real possibility - plus already a week into January, way behind the curve in terms of the transfer window.

Re: Mark Hughes
i imagine stoke fans will be ecstatic at the prospect of ryan 'dead behind the eyes' giggs as a replacement.
