Jason Gilchrist wins golden boot
26 goals in the National League North this season for FC United and Southport. Just 23, so I reckon he still has a chance of playing at a higher level.

Bit diff from Prem League.
Good to see the lad maturing and successful at his level.

Not bad considering he's played for two atrocious sides this season.

Didn’t he score a hat trick at Old Trafford in the FA Youth cup?

He did - a night to savour for me, the only time I've seen a Burnley team win at Old Trafford.Claretforever wrote:Didn’t he score a hat trick at Old Trafford in the FA Youth cup?

Burnley: Callum Jakovlevs, Cameron Dummigan, Charlie Holt, Alex Whitmore, Luke Conlan, Luke Daly (Evan Galvin 110), Kevin Ly (Brad Jackson 63), Nathan Lowe, Cameron Howieson, Jamie Frost (Christian Hill 70), Jason Gilchrist. Subs not used: Conor Mitchell, Andreas Bianga.

Just did a double take. Thought for a second that United had a former referee in goal!ClaretTony wrote:He did - a night to savour for me, the only time I've seen a Burnley team win at Old Trafford.

Doesn't Ben Pearson boss the midfield for PNE?
If it is, he's a cracking player

Talking of the NLN - Dom Knowles scored five for Harrogate at the weekend. Unfortunately they’ve been beaten by Salford to the title.

Re: Jason Gilchrist wins golden boot
Whatever our Youth set up is about it is not there to improve the first team. I wish it were otherwise but those days are long gone. I am still very much in favour of a strong set up but it really serves the purposes of supporting the community and the social responsibility objective of what is now a wealthy corporate organisation.
