Entitled Manchester United Fans
Entitled Manchester United Fans
Looking at this board today I am seriously reminded of the red fans who endlessly tell us that (basically any manager apart from Ferguson and Busby) isn't good enough for them because the football isn't good enough. I'm happy enough to judge Dyche on results - and I worry that we could be sailing pretty close to the wind by Christmas but let's face it .....we are currently 6th in the "other 14" league having won it last season. We had a horrendous goalless draw against Huddersfield last season and went on to finish 7th overall.
Don't call me a happy clapper - I'm not - but a sense of proportion is required.
We scraped a point from a poor performance on Saturday, we won away at what is usually a graveyard for us the previous week. Sure - we had poor possession statistics but we usually do when we win. Our previous home game against Bournemouth looked entertaining from where I sat - and the guys on my right who usually whinge endlessly agreed with me praising Lennon in particular.
If you don't like the football then don't watch it ....I don't like this message board so I'm going to stay away for a while.

If you read the threads on Dyche, you will find he has almost unanimous support. The usual suspects are entitled to their view, but don't have to be taken seriously.keith1879 wrote:Looking at this board today I am seriously reminded of the red fans who endlessly tell us that (basically any manager apart from Ferguson and Busby) isn't good enough for them because the football isn't good enough. The latest performances require debating, it doesn't mean everyone is in a panic.
Chill, and don't let the buggers grind you down.

The latest performances require debating

The usual suspects don’t debate. They find negativity in everything about the club.
From the board, to the manager, to the recruiting or lack of it, the price of twix and finally the players. They must lead very sad lives.

Re: Entitled Manchester United Fans
At last ! Some real perspective.
I drove home from the Udders game and had the dubious pleasure of listening to the 606 phone-in where Man Utd "fans" - life-long fans, natch - were queueing up to whinge and whine about their latest gripes. I sat there tutting at their sheer stupidity, hoping to God there wouldn't be something similar on this board. How wrong I was.

I know what you mean, but it's stupid to bite at what they say, life is too short. As the Dyche thread shows, practically everybody is behind the manager, so why get upset by what a few say.
As you say they moan about everything, which is the biggest clue of all, but they are a minority, we are a long way from turning into Man U fans yet. I certainly wouldn't let their dribbling put me off from reading the board, which is what the OP was proposing. That would be sad.

The latest performances require debating

Of course the performances require debating, we've been atrocious the last few games.
It's not debating the problem thats the issue, just the conclusion that the "usual suspects" come to. Get rid of Dyche.......madness.

I think sometimes people get frustrated and forget that Dyche has got very little help from the board and point the finger at the wrong person - having said that, nobody can tell me the football we've seen this season has been very good in style

Re: Entitled Manchester United Fans
Good original post and i’ve decided that it is also time to have some time away from viewing this board.
Surely after all Sean has done for us he deserves our support and the time to improve things. We’ve been in an upward trajectory seem he came, first sign of a few problems some fans want him out which I find astounding. I firmly believe no other manager could have achieved what Sean has achieved. There are very few clubs (only some at the very top) who play this free flowing attractive football on a continual basis and are successful.
We have played some great stuff under Sean but at other times not, that’s football for fans of most clubs.
In my opinion the problem is simply this, we haven’t got the finance to compete and play attractive football all the time, as we have seen with some key injuries.
As long as he can keep in this division i’m very happy and even if we went down i’d give him opportunity to get us back up.

So what, I look at it on a daily basis. Sick and tired of reading some of the posts by those that obviously no nothing about football so time to keep away. Maybe those that are sick and tired of Sean should keep away.

The sense of entitlement is no greater than on here.
I don't think Huddersfield town supporters were too impressed with the view of many here that we should just turn up to beat them.

no not at all, I made the comment in jest (laughing emoji) as it looks though he's only been here for 2 mins and is already leaving but as usual on here people take it the wrong way and have a sense of humour bypassClaretnick wrote:Does it really matter how many times a Clarets fan posts on here?
