Lenny Johnrose
Just a reminder that the Clarets legends v Swansea legends match takes place today, 1.00 pm at Bamber Bridge. Hope there's a good turnout for Len.

Enjoyable afternoon, cheap draft beer, chips and gravy available (take note Burnley catering), and a chance to see some great ex-Clarets helping out an old team mate. I think it ended up 10-7 to Swansea,lost count towards the end. Some funny moments, someone shouted "C'mon Ternent, get it sorted" at 6-1, old habits die hard.

A brilliant afternoon. Fantastic to see so many of his former teammates together playing in the Claret and Blue one last time.
Extremely touching to see his primary school class give him a guard of honour. I was aware of his profession and he infact graduated at the same ceremony as myself, but I didn’t know he taught at one my school’s feeder primary’s.
Well done to my Auntie Veronica Simpson and her team for organisation alongside Steve Davis.

Re: Lenny Johnrose
A smashing afternoon out - plenty of banter and a chance to see some of our heroes of the past.
Somehow, you felt that you were still in touch and had something in common with a lot of them
- something I don't seem to feel with the squad of today, for whatever reason.
The pies, chips, curry, gravy etc were a very welcome change together with the cheap cask ales.
(notice the plurals !!!
)
The sun shone and a good time was had by all in support of a very good cause.
Very very sad to see Lenny struggling as he obviously was.
A nice touch with the school children as well.

Difficult thing to cope with for anybody and credit to him for getting on with things as much as possible.
Sad to read that piece, good luck to Lenny J during his remaining time on this earth.

Don’t often agree with Tony Cottee but he’s right that the PFA should be supporting him and his family
