Tony Grant

Post by jedi_master » Thu Feb 11, 2021 1:11 pm

We will be interviewing Grantona on Pie and a Pint Podcast soon (as in, 20 minutes time) - as long as his connection holds up in India as this is attempt two.

Does anyone have any burning questions for the Scouse Makelele that they've simply always wanted answered ?!

Which was the best derby game to be involved in, City/United, Everton/Liverpool, Burnley/Rovers?

Does Tony consider himself to have been the "scouse Makelele" as Mr Mee often called him?

What was it like playing in a Kevin Keegan side, with Berkovic and Berbabia, with Goater and Wanchope up front?

Afraid you’ve missed the (very short) window of opportunity! However we did touch upon his time at City. He regrets the move there.

He was underrated for us, I thought. I touch of the David Jones about him, kept it calm and simple.

His shots off target stats must have been impressive.

Great talent Tony Grant. Look forward to hearing the interview.
Any ideas on when you'll have it up on the channel?

Hey, we upload each Saturday but have quite a few banked already. Next few weeks are:

13/02 - Paul Devlin
20/02 - Craig Armstrong (Ex-Claret...for a month or two!)
27/02 - Liam Chilvers (Some good tales of battles between Preston and Burnley, and he almost signed for us it turns out)
06/03 - Lloyd Owusu
13/03 - Stephen Bywater
20/03 - Tony Grant

Hoping to get plenty of other Clarets on, Paul Weller is doing it in a week or so.

Thought he was a shrewd buy by Stan-great "holding" midfield player.Despite his stature he got stuck in, and protected Cahill/McGreal

Always remember a great bit of skill on the halfway line at selhurst park. Think we were against Wimbledon that day
