Disney
Bans kids from watching Peter Pan. Dumbo. And Swiss family Robinson among others. All now made adult only due to negative portrayals of other cultures.
Hilarious.
Surely allowing them and educating kids on how things have changed as the absolutely most that’s needed.
We are honestly the most pathetic, weak generation

Re: Disney
You can still show them to your kids, but Disney are basically making it your decision to do so.
Not really much of an issue is it?

Re: Disney
Seems fair enough to me. If you’re happy for your kids to watch them then you can allow them to. Young children are very impressionable, so I think it’s a positive move that movies which portray other cultures negatively are not available at the click of the button without giving the parent a chance to educate their child.

I think it's more subtle than that.
Its that they portray positivity towards one particular ethnic group. White people.
And that , under any circumstance , cannot be tolerated.

Re: Disney
It won’t make that much of a difference, kids will always pick stuff up regardless & learn how to bypass parental controls, you’ll only stop them for so long watching certain programmes, kids aren’t supposed to watch horror films but it doesn’t stop them bed wetting or waking up in the middle of the night with nightmares.

I shook with anger when the lion king came out, the lioness queen has a more feminist ring.

Re: Disney
Dumbo is an important film for kids as it teaches that even those with perceived disabilities or those who are bullied can excel once they take vast quantities of LSD.
