Where we belong

Post by ClaretAL » Sat Aug 14, 2021 7:56 pm

I couldn't really hear or see this at the Turf today but I have just watched it and wow, it had me in tears relating it to the loss of my wife this year, which although not Covid related still had a resounding meaning to it as i am sure it has had with many. It was good to see so many of my season ticket family today. and kind of O/T it was good to see you out and watching the Clarets CT :)

Exactly! That’s what people forget, or never knew in the first place. We could be non league and I wouldn’t enjoy going to Turf Moor any less.

Deserved bump after this excellent video has been nominated for the broadcast sports award video.

I must admit that I missed this first time around but it is well worth a watch.

Just watched it and it almost brought a tear to my eye.
A little smultzy but nevertheless......

Can't imagine many other premiership clubs producing anything
like i and hope it does well in the broadcast sports video awards.

Worth a watch.

I liked it, it must resonate with so many. streets in the animation could do with a bit more litter for realism, but overall a great piece.

I thought it was pretty crap to be honest, but that's just my own opinion.

you just need to see past the dog **** reduction and the screaming drunks and thugs that are there in reality, forget the real life drudgery and hangovers and p*** soaked backyards and accept a small amount of christmas style snowman into your mind to make this work.
If I can, you can.

It was shortlisted in the 'Best Social Media Campaign' category

The winner was Sky Sports - Hate Won’t Win

Do you ever have an opinion or do you just like to bully people on here?

Yes, my opinion is you are negative about pretty much anything to do with the club and get a little upset when it is pointed out. You like to criticise but can't be criticised.

As for the video I thought it was an excellent piece of work which obviously connected with people who go to games rather than those wo sit on line and whinge through match threads.

Hopefully this counts as an opinion and you aren't feeling bullied.

Good to see you actually post your opinion rather that belittling my posts as usual. You are, like me entitled to your opinion. I don't always post negative things, I'm just not afraid to voice my concern. If you ask me, legitimate concern to how the club is being run, how the players perform and anything discussed on here is only a sign of support for the club.

It doesn't mean by having criticism you don't support the team.

Remember behind every post is a real person and if I'm being completely honest with you many of your posts do seem a lot like bullying, both to me and others. If I were you I'd tone it down a bit. We Are after all, all here supporting the same team.

If my posts seriously annoy you I'd rather you put me in ignore because I'd like to check the forum without getting in a bad mood.

They don't annoy me, I just feel someone who comes across as constantly being critical can take a bit of criticism, if I am being completely honest with you if that makes you feel like you are being bullied then the internet isn't for you. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Maybe I just never see your positive comments.

Did you really think after watching that video and the message it was delivering it needed you to post "a bit crap" why not think of those who had lost loved ones some who they went to the match with, or those who went the match for some company and had been denied this simple pleasure instead of a stupid response. If by posting that it makes you brave when voicing your response then my response was very light towards you. Maybe you should think about what you post and who might be reading it.

It would probably help if there was some degree of constructiveness to your criticism, which was sadly lacking here,

I thought this short video was fantastic. It talked about people coming together after the Lockdowns and even a nod to Pastor Mick providing food for those in need. It may be an idealised view of Burnley on match day but it isn’t far away from most people’s experience of it - and I live in Cornwall.

Aye, there isnt much point of doing a realistic portrayal of Burnley, as the League of Gentlemen already did it rather well

I thought the video was farfetched, cringeworthy and the animation poor, full of silly mistakes like the crowd being full while the sign says half time. To me it looked like a poorly done Anime. Need any more detail?

I'm entitled to my own opinion.

It seems like they do annoy you. Why else would you constantly quote my posts without anything constructive to say? You do it to other users too. I've made lots of positive posts, but you choose to pick out any with a hint of negativity to approve your personal agenda. Perhaps you need to reassess how a forum works, and look in the mirror a bit more before you choose to treat other people badly.

As I said, if you don't like them, put me on ignore and stop the bullying. Are you a grown man, or a 10 year old bully?

:D :D is that how you moderate on your little forum ? Thank god your desire to be a mod on here has never been taken up. If you feel you are being bullied grow a pair. Like I said if you come across as someone who does little but criticise you are fair game to be criticised, that is how conversation works, granted you have far more experience online than me but I speak to people on here as I would offline.

Your stupid and needless comment on the video could have been kept to yourself

If I was a mod on here, you'd have been banned months ago, don't worry. How you haven't is beyond me. You snipe and bully other posters, and add nothing useful to the community at all.
You're right, you don't have a clue how forums work at all.
