Recommendations for “dog friendly” pub with good food

Post by Rick_Muller » Sat Nov 20, 2021 8:49 am

As per title, need a nice pub in the Burnley area that serves a good variety of food (7 of us, with fussy eaters) but also needs to allow a small well behaved (mostly!) dog.

Can travel within half an hour or so, and also conscious that footy is on today, so traffic will be an issue later for a bit.

Thanks in advance all

Fence gate and kettle drum are both good dog friendly pubs, I expect folk will recommend staff of life and Glen View or possibly even top brink as they’re also dog friendly pubs.

Choice of pie or hot dog at half time. Not sure you can take dogs on though.

Bay horse at Worsthorne is also dog friendly. I'd check out online menus for places suggested and decide which one suits your needs most as they're all within 30 mins or so of each other.

I can't imagine anything more unhygienic.

Tempest Arm at Elslack. Great food and welcome dogs with treats rather than just tolerate them.

Such a shame about the Ram Inn. A lovely old building with stunning views from the beer garden.
