I know we’ve seen deals for Tarky and Mee
But what of our other released players last season?
Bardsley, Lennon, Stephens, Pieters? I’m sure I’ve missed some, the turnover has been that big!
Had Stephens gone on trial at Derby? I half expected Bardsley to turn up at DC United, but I’m surprised Pieters hasn’t got anything sorted yet and I don’t think Lennon will retire yet.

Just checked DC United’s recent results- it’s not going well is it.

I am surprised Pieters hasn't got fixed up, he always did a job for us and still looked capable in the PL last season despite his age. You'd think he'd get a club back in Holland, or even in this league, surely.

Just look at those names. We'd become a retirement home hadn't we ? Viva la revolución.

Saw Bardsley on tv this weekend, he still looked pretty fit.
Im surprised they haven't been picked up, perhaps they dont want to play for low wages.
Bardsley was linked with his mate Rooney at Derby, i would have thought they could hold down spot in USA.

He seems like a decent guy, but Aaron Lennon somehow conjuring up 28 Premier League appearances for us last season really was indicative of a lot of our issues.

Maybe he's got a deal somewhere but no one's told him...

Surely his wife wouldn’t forget to tell him something like that?

Agree. Of all the released players yet to be fixed up he is the biggest surprise. Following him on Instagram you can see that he’s been keeping himself fit but here we are on 31st August and he still hasn’t got a club. Good player with much to offer.

Really good player is Pieters, I'd have him back in a breath as cover/competition for Taylor at LCB.

It's telling that lots of former players and manager/coaching staff haven't been fixed up yet.
Probably means we paid them far too much.
I was told last night that every Preston player was on under 10k a week for example. The money just isn't there for them at this level

Also tells you that the likes of Lennon, Stephens and Bardsley shouldn't have been anywhere near a Premier League squad.

I'd expect Vydra to end up somewhere in the Bundesliga, eventually but as a free agent he doesn't need to worry as much about deadlines i don't think

He would be better on the ball than Charlie.

Poor we signed him at all, never mind twice.

I'm not comparing him to Pele but he came above Ben Mee in the POTY awarded by us fans on here & we all know how he struggled to appease some
