The hour draws near

Post by mybloodisclaret » Sat Aug 31, 2024 2:09 am

The time is nearly here. The turbulent window has closed. Quality we have lost without doubt, most now replaced with quality, enough to do plenty of damage in this league.

No matter your thoughts on the ownership, the model, the project or the window, none of that matters today. Today is about pride and passion, it's about reaffirming who are the top dogs, who has the rights, who reigns supreme. We have held it over them now for a long time, and today we must unite to make Turf Moor hostile, vociferous, volatile and uncomfortable to our 'guests'

In just 7 short days they have gone from crowing that they were going to do us, to come to our place and embarrass us. With all our outgoings they sniffed a chance, yet here we are, at the dawn of it all, the Clarets have bought well and replaced what has gone with fantastic players. Over the week as we have got in to gear bringing good players in their voices have reduced in volume, and now, they know we are favourites, with good reason, because we are simply better than them.

Today it is on us Clarets. Scott has a lot of new players of quality to mix into the group. He said in his press conference the players will need the "fanbase"!! It's down to us now, look at those Clarets around you tomorrow, make as much as much noise as you can, appeal for every decision, applaud every Claret positive, taunt every error from 'them'.
Stand together, stand united, we have had a big bump in the road, now for smoother surfaces.

All I ask, is don't abandon the team today. They need us, all of us, every man, woman and child. Let's bring it home. Back the lads, back your club, back Burnley FC.

This is our Turf.

No Nay Never.

It seems a long time ago since the Sunderland match. We have a team now that has enough to win today and the boost of recent days will be enough to ensure it will be the normal derby atmosphere today at the Turf. Who can’t be looking forward to it now !
