Re: Parker
It’d be nuts to sack him which we obviously won’t do, but I equally thought we were wrong to appoint him in the first place.
Re: Parker
Out tactically numpty
Re: Parker
And that is the issue, you and other fans wasn't happy he was appointed and despite everything that's gone against him he still has us 2nd but you still wanna sack him
Re: Parker
The one thing about this style of football in the Prem is that it certainly wouldn't be any worse than last season, so nothing to be terrified aboutburnley007 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 7:09 pmDid you enjoy that?

I think in terms of results, we're actually over achieving. I really don't think we're that good. It's definitely not exciting but I think asking in or out on a manager when we're currently sat 2nd is a bit ridiculous

In. He's got two sides automatically promoted in the past. He's knows what he's doing (whether it's pretty or not is another matter!) He's working with the squad at his disposal which was left woefully short of options up front and that wasn't his fault and despite some pretty lackluster performances and results, we're currently second in the table. I'm in favour of cutting the guy some slack for now and seeing where we are come May.

The football we played at this level last time was brilliant but it translated horrendously into the Prem. I think i'd actually rather us play Parkerball in the Prem.burnley007 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 7:09 pmDid you enjoy that?

Doesn't seem to be able to change the way we play mid game if we are struggling to break teams down.
Hope he gets to buy a creative midfielder and new strikers in Jan.
No way are we we sacking him....playing crap football but 2nd in the league !
Not sure what that tells us, is it that it's such a poor league ?

It’s everything the Fulham and Bournemouth fans warned us of. Subs too late today to have any impact on the game. Zero creativity, zero patterns of play and zero intensity. Genuinely intrigued to know what we do during the week. I’m worried we don’t get top 6 as we didn’t look like scoring if we played until next week. Alright until the edge of the box but nobody getting in there for what crosses we put in.
On a positive, the set piece coach has finally found someone who can beat the first man on a corner.

Ita a tad embarrassing even suggesting he should get the sack after so few games in charge. Fine to be frustrated we aren't scoring goals atm, but come on. When did we get so entitled as supporters, we think we should be top playing champagne football after the summer we just had.

Re: Parker
Scott Parker has barely had time to take his coat off , matter of a few weeks at the helm.
Add to that trying to find his place at a new club and then discovering half the squad were about to be scattered to the four winds.
Now, when you consider he has us in second spot in a hellishly tough division, no one with an ounce of footballing knowledge would deem it appropriate to criticise the man.

I suppose it gives us time to plan for it. As long as we do.

Re: Parker
A pathetic question given we're 2nd in the league.
Do you imagine the fans of the 22 clubs below us are all screaming for their managers head, especially when they are 8 games unbeaten.
If people think our football is boring, it's nowhere near as boring as reading some of the posts since yesterday.

Scott is playing the long game.Better to carry on accumulating points on the way.
We are behind a team who will implode and with several players close to return from injury including game changers like Sarmiento and Foster,we will get better .

It's utter nonsense, is this the same Bournemouth team that scored more goals under Parker in the championship than we did under VK?Overseascricketer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 10:32 pmIt’s everything the Fulham and Bournemouth fans warned us of. Parker ball has zero creativity though?
Honestly listening to other clubs minority of fans about an ex player or coach then forming an opinion is laughable.
Bayern fans could listen to people like KRBFC and think they are getting the Messiah in VK but then they could speak to genuine fans that watched that week in week out last season and could have prepared Bayern for exactly what they're getting now.

Not saying he should be sacked but my God we just don’t entertain at all. All of this EPPP and English DNA has made every half decent side exactly the same to watch. Did we ever look like scoring yesterday? Can bemoan the lack of signings all you want but we looked more threatening under Dyche with his lack of options
xG is a ridiculous stat but ultimately there’s only 2 teams with a lower xG than us which proves we just don’t create anything.

He has to improve. No two ways about it. Don’t think many fans will continue to watch the style of football being served up currently.
Re: Parker
The disastrous transfer window of summer 2023 will take more than a few weeks to put right. Some will overlook this fact though.
The club needs a stable squad and that will come in time.
The project / process under Kompany was not sustainable and some seem to be blaming Parker for this.

Yes we looked like scoring yesterday, had 3 good chances at Oxford, had a sitter missed against Hull, lost count of how many yesterday we should have scored.
We could have won 6-0 yesterday and QPR had no complaints.
Just because Parker doesn't come out with the silly statements VK did doesn't mean it doesn't need time to click, if we play like Saturday every game then we'll win the league

The football can be as dour as it likes, because ultimately we need to get promoted and thats all that really matters
Nobody is forced to watch us play, if you hate it that much find something else to do with your time and money
