Re: Lack of Goals in the Championship
Not a “4 year low”?
I’d have waited a few more years before writing that, particularly given that this years number is only marginally lower than a few years in that massive window of time.

“You look at Vincent Kompany at Burnley - stunk the place out in terms of points last season”
I’d have stopped after the word out.

Re: Lack of Goals in the Championship
It's so predictable now with most teams, sideways passing, etc, which allows defences to get organised. The leagues should ask Pep Guardiola to reinvent football again with wingers, dribbling, long passes and shooting from distance so the lemmings can all follow the messiah.

Re: Lack of Goals in the Championship
In fairness I have been posting on here about the lack of goals and clinical strikers in the Championship for a while now. Including after the set of midweek fixtures early in November that produced a total of just 20 goals from a set of 12 matches.maidenover wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 3:25 pmHaven't seen this posted anywhere on here but article from BBC on link...

Re: Lack of Goals in the Championship
I’ve wondered if some of the players capable of scoring 15 - 20 goals in the championship are now happy to sit on the bench in the PL and get 20 minutes here are there. Is the gulf in finances that big that PL clubs will pay a lot more to a squad player than a championship club could even consider?
