Alan Knight Celebrity XI

Post by pompeyclaret » Tue Mar 18, 2025 1:37 pm

Charity match in Pompey following Alan Knights diagnosis of prostate cancer. In partnership with the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer appeal.

He was my old next door neighbours step-dad, very nice normal bloke.

Appreciate a fair distance for most on here, but for any more southern based clarets who might be interested.

Thanks for this, pc.
A very worthy cause, for an extraordinary footballer.
I believe that not only did he play for Pompey in all 4 divisions in England, but he also played for them in 4 different decades. I know that goalkeepers tend to have longer careers - but even so!
Good luck to Alan Knight, and good to see Barry Kilby’s charity involved.

I had a meeting with Barry Kilby last week and was able to tell him 1) my PSA is low and 2) I have two friends who are here today and cancer free because of his charity.

He's at the Turf this Saturday but there are no places left but there are still over 100 available for Burnley Golf Club on Easter Saturday. Please consider booking yourself in.

Thanks Tony, I missed the turf event this time, I’ll see about booking on the golf club one.
